About Beaver Valley Supply
Joseph F. Vap of Atwood, Kansas, founded Beaver Valley Supply in the early 1940s. In the beginning, it was a local feed and seed company. Melvin Vap and Frank Chvatal, Joseph's sons, started working for the company in 1949 while they were still in high school. Melvin and Frank started working full-time for Beaver Valley Supply in 1952. In 1956, the business started actively distributing farm equipment to a dealer network. Frank and Melvin were involved in the process of creating a dealer network, conducting sales calls, and delivering products to dealers. The business continued to expand and was incorporated on January 5, 1970, under its current name. In 1971, Joseph Vap sold the business to Frank Chvatal & Melvin Vap.
