Barloga Studios current iteration is over twenty years old. For over twenty years Dennis and Roy Baloca, a father and son team have been making photographs in a shared studio in Northern California. Although each artist has chosen a different path they have often come together in support and criticism bound by blood, artistic conviction and a desire to help each other succeed. Currently Dennis and Roy are combining their efforts and talents trying to make the best use of modern printing techniques and traditional photographic techniques on a variety of non-photographic substrates. Handmade paper, film, wood and fabric are all being used to find the print medium that best enhances a particular subject.
