About Arizona Inn
Arizona Inn has been owned and operated by the family since it was founded by Isabella Greenway in 1930. She is the first female congresswoman in Arizona and a lifelong friend of Eleanor Roosevelt. The agency was originally an inn built for visitors to Tucson, and it was also a charity furniture store called "Arizona Lodge". The agency hired disabled veterans from World War I to help keep jobs. Today, Arizona Inn, as a landmark hotel in Tucson, won the title on the National Register of Historic Places. In order to preserve its long history, this hotel has an on-site cabinet making shop, where a craftsman restored the original "cabinet" furniture and made exquisite new custom furniture-all of which can be found in the hotel Found within.
