About Alpaca Blanket
A two-hour drive from Wellington, in a gorgeous valley in the Wairarapa, Cheryl and Barry Eldridge came to the conclusion that their hill country sheep and cattle farm was a marginal agricultural enterprise in 1991. The Alpaca Blanket sought for more creative solutions rather than imitating many others who converted their homes into pine plantations. They found a few alpacas and a small herd of grey sheep as a consequence of their quest. Additionally, these sheep are now recognized as the "Stansborough Greys" wool breed. Now, Alpaca Blanket the wool on these blue-gray sheep is extremely smooth, soft, and shiny. This is the outcome of many years of diligent labor, which resulted in a flock of more than 1200 "Stansborough Grey" chickens.
