About Aiha
The development, promotion, and administration of ice hockey at all levels competitive, representative, social, and learner in the Auckland region are the goals of the Aiha. There are approximately 800 members in the club, ranging in age from 4-year-old Learn-to-Play novices to senior non-check players over 60. Although the first ice rink in Auckland was constructed in the 1970s, Aiha can be traced back to the Auckland Ice Hockey Council, which was established in July 1987. In March of 1994, the organization changed its name to Auckland Ice Hockey Association Inc. At the Annual General Meeting, a Board of Directors is elected to run the Auckland Ice Hockey Association. The club constitution governs both the board's and the club's activities.
